University of TWFG
The University of TWFG was created in January of 2012 with the goal of helping agents to be more successful through training and education. TWFG strongly believes that it’s the agents who continue to learn, grow and adapt that will ultimately be successful in the changing landscape of insurance.
At the University of TWFG we continually strive to offer relevant training and education opportunities for both our Branch and Independent agents. Trainings include:
TWFG New Branch Training
TWFG’s New Branch Training program is a 3 ½ day program designed to serve as a launching pad for our exclusive agents. We spent many hours interviewing our current agency force to determine the areas where a new TWFG Branch needs the most training and education. What we’ve developed is a program that not only decreases the learning curve but also enables the branch to differentiate themselves in the marketplace. This program helps our agents to build a profitable of book of business in a shorter amount of time.
This is a two-part program that includes both the processing of business and the fundamental building blocks of owning and operating a TWFG Branch. We believe this two pronged approach not only prepares our agents to write business but also prepares them to be a business owner.
TWFG Commercial Business School
We created the TWFG Commercial Business School in response to our agents request for more commercial lines training. We have developed curriculum for new and seasoned commercial lines agents alike.
We have our Commercial 101 – 104 training series that focuses on standard coverages and how they apply to business. These are a great introduction to the commercial insurance world for those agents who are new to commercial lines. We make these courses available online so that our agents can view them when it’s convenient.
We also offer Industry Segment Classes. These classes provide detailed information on what is needed to successfully write commercial insurance within specific niche markets. In these classes we cover exposures, endorsements, case studies and carrier appetites. Our Industry Segment Classes are available online as well.
TWFG will continue to enhance our commercial offerings to meet the needs our agents.
Producer & CSR Training
Our Producer & CSR training curriculum is similar to our New Branch Training program but without the building blocks. We focus primarily on creating new opportunities, client management and systems processing. These classes are offered via webinar format and are an excellent starting place for new producers and CSRs.
Carrier and Vendor Training
TWFG works closely with our carrier and vendor partners to bring training and education opportunities to our agents. These include product training, systems training and sales courses. Some courses are eligible for Continuing Education credits. Classes are held at the TWFG Home Office and online via webinar.
