Richard “Gordy” Bunch | Founder, President and CEO

If this is the formula for success, it would help to explain Richard “Gordy” Bunch III and the remarkable achievements he is scoring in his business and community life. At 41 years of age, he is a decorated U.S. Coast Guard veteran, an Entrepreneur of the Year nominee in Houston; and with almost 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, is founder, president and CEO of TWFG – The Woodlands Financial Group. Gordy founded TWFG, an insurance and financial services company, with $10,000 capital in The Woodlands, TX in 2001.

Katherine Nolan  |  MBA, Chief Operating Officer

Ms. Nolan has 20+ years of experience in the insurance industry both on the carrier and retail sides of the business. Ms. Nolan has been successful in startup, turnaround and high-growth environments with a focus on growing revenues, streamlining operations, and effectively utilizing technology to optimize budgets and staffing. Ms. Nolan is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company along with strategy and operational alignment. Formerly she was President of Affirmative Retail Inc., EVP of Planning and Integration at Affirmative Insurance Holdings and Senior Operations Officer at Bristol West Insurance Company. She has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a double major in Finance and Economics and Masters of Business Administration from John Carroll University.

John Scully  | Vice President of Information Technology

Mr. Scully comes to TWFG with over 15 years of insurance technology background. Mr. Scully started as a developer in 2000 for a Dallas wholesaler and MGA, where he designed and implemented web-based business management, accounting, invoicing and reporting systems. He moved from there to Crump Insurance where he was VP of Architecture and Development and delivered solutions for real time quoting, invoicing, policy issuance and agency management functions. Most recently, Mr. Scully managed the integration of systems between Crump and CRC, while representing both companies on the BB&T Insurance Technology Board. He has served on the AAMGA Technology Committee and Scottsdale Insurance Company’s Agents Technology Advisory Committee. Mr. Scully has strong management and analysis skills coupled with solid insurance background. We are excited to have John join our team and lead the charge in building out all our company systems.

Judy Rush

Judy Rush  | National Agency Relationship Director

Judy brings 25 plus years of Sales & Marketing, Management, Training, and Advertising experience to TWFG. Judy entered the Insurance business in 1985 after working in the IT industry for many years.  Her first position in the Insurance industry was that of Operations Manager over the IT Department. Soon after this, she transitioned into the insurance side of the business, as the manager of both IT and Customer Service departments for a large Commercial MGA. Her next move was on the agency side, joining Templeton SW, as a Producer of commercial lines specializing in the transportation industry. Judy then moved into the marketing arm of the business spending the next seventeen years with Benchmark General Agency, Vista Insurance Partners, Mercury General, and Alfa Insurance. She has been with TWFG Insurance Services for the past 6 years, and is responsible for managing a large agent base in 22 States for growth, profitability, and relationship development. Additionally, she manages a group of Agency Relationship managers and assists them in growing their territory.

Yolanda Crombie  | Director TWFG General Agency

Ms. Crombie has 20+ years of experience in the insurance industry both on the carrier and retail sides of the business. Her successes include a career in sales and marketing, and insurance agency development. Ms. Crombie’s insurance career began in 1990 at the Department of Insurance in Belize. In 1991 she transitioned to insurance in the private sector and became the General Manager of a property and casualty company in Belize. Ms. Crombie joined Farmers/Foremost in 2003 initially as manager of a captive agency in Texas. She later transitioned to marketing and held the position of Territory Manager in Texas and New Mexico for Farmers/Foremost. Ms. Crombie joined TWFG May, 2012 and is responsible for the growth and management of TWFG General Agency. Ms. Crombie is a past president of The Belize Chamber of Commerce and Industry and past president of The Rotary Club of Belize. Ms. Crombie holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in Finance from The University of Houston.
